A Recipe For Cuteness

Here's a quicky for you...

In our Etsy store under "Paint to Order", we have several items that can be ordered and then custom painted to match any design a customer has in mind. People have sent us all kinds of ideas! Interesting quotes, whimsical patterns, funky designs, even actual fabric to match!  I love working with people to come up with a fantastic and unique piece of furniture, that will be the highlight of the room that it goes into! And I really LOVE when people see their ideas transformed into artwork-they get so excited-that's the real joy of doing what I do!

This customer wanted a book case for her daughter's room, one that she could add baskets to for toy storage.  She looked all over my shop and these were the specifications she gave me...She said, "I love this painted stool...

And this jewelry box is really cute...

We also like this recipe box...

and my husband and I especially love this table (although we know we really can't put it in our infant daughter's room but we really like it!)

She went on to say that they had painted the room green and they loved the colors purple and red.  "We don't want something to "themey" because we want it to be able to grow with her, but we like the idea of a lady bug and flowers because we're doing a garden theme in her room". The one criteria that her husband was adamant about  was that there could be NO dinosaurs (although I think...he was joking...and I contemplated putting one on the bottom shelf just for kicks and giggles). 

So, I took all these ideas, put them together, and this is what I came up with...

I'm hoping Emma and her parents will be happy with their book case/toy storage.  I tried to incorporate everything they liked (although there isn't any zebra print or dinosaurs).
